Top 5 Deep Conditioners

Hello, lovelies! Deep Conditioning is one of the most important steps in your haircare routine, and people often gloss over it's importance when discussing haircare. Even if your hair is kinky, curly, wavy, or straight you need to deep condition your hair. I deep condition my hair every single time I shampoo, but you don't have to do that.

Deep Conditioning (dc) at least once a month can be beneficial to your hair. Investing in a dc that moisturizes your hair and also provides it nutrients like protein is very important. I have tried a load of deep condiitoners over the years of doing my own hair. Being a curly girl has really helped me in getting into a good deep condition routine. So without further ado, here my the top 5 deep conditioners I recommend.

TGIN | Miracle Repairx Curl Protein Reconstructor

Black jar with white label that says tgin Miracle Repairs Curl Protein Reconstructor

This deep conditioner is very moisturizing and also provides much needed protein for your hair strands. It is marketed to remove product buildup and restore the protein in your hair. It contains ingredients such as Glycerin, Biotin, and is a product that does not test on animals. This 12oz jar retails for $14.99 at Ulta Beauty.

Desgin Essentials | Almond & Avocado Wash Day Deep Moisture Masque

This masque is used to combat dry hair, and easily penetrates the hair strands to get your curls the moisture it needs. Almond and avocado is meant to provide that moisture while sunflower oil provides softness and shine. I was highly impressed with this masque and you can hear all about my review here. This masque retails for $14.99 on the Design Essentials website.

Miche | Strengthen Protein/Moisture Balance Deep Conditioner

It is important to note that this is not a protein treatment. This deep conditioner contains hydrolized baobab protein which aids in repairing the hair strands. This product nourishes your hair and helps to reduce breakage. This product has helped restore the elasticity in my hair. This is my favorite dc out of the intense moisture line. You can obtain this product for $20 on the Miche Beauty website.

Texture ID | Self-Heating Coil Conditioning Masque

This conditioner really is self heating, and adding a plastic cap will increase its absorbtion into your hair. This product is meant to revive dry hair and I used it at a time when my hair was going through an extreme rough patch. I thoroughly enjoy this dc and it is significantly cheaper than the others on this list. You can find this product at Sally Beauty for $8.99.

Ecoslay | Banana Cream Deep Conditioner

white jar with light blue label and banana cream pie on it

This dc is an eco-friendly product completely handmade. It does require refrigeration after opening and has a shelf life. This dc is meant to nourish dry hair and can even be used as a leave-in though I recommend using a small amount. This product retails for $22 on Ecoslay’s website. For my detailed thoughts, check out my product review.

These are my top favorite deep conditioners. Whether you dc every time you shampoo or if it's twice a month or once a month you need to do it. What are your favorite deep conditioners? Have you ever tried any on this list?
