How to Decrease the Cost of Your Natural Hair Products

If you're like me, you love your natural hair and look for ways to keep it healthy without breaking the bank. I've got some good news for you! There are a lot of great products out there that don't cost a fortune. In this post, I'll share my tips on decreasing the cost of natural hair products. Hold on to your coils or curls – we're about to get started!

Buy In Bulk

One way to save money on natural hair products is to buy them in bulk. This can be done online or in person at a beauty supply store. Buying in bulk often saves you money per ounce or per product. Another advantage of buying in bulk is that you may be able to find better deals than if you were to buy the same products individually.

When buying products in bulk, you want to ensure you aren't getting carried away with stocking up. If you are someone who gets bored with products you use and know that buying in bulk will ultimately be a waste, then forgo this option. Know yourself.

Follow Product Directions

Another way to save money is by following the product directions. For example, if a conditioner says to leave in for three minutes and you leave it in for ten minutes, you are essentially wasting product. Wasting product = wasting money.

On top of that, many people use way more conditioner than they need to. When you are conditioning your hair, instead of adding more product, first add more water. It's more than likely that the product needs water to move around vs. you piling on conditioner on top of conditioner. I learned this from a hairstylist.

Use Coupons and Discounts

You can also save money on natural hair products by using coupons and discounts. Many stores offer coupons that can be used both in-store and online. A number of websites also provide discounts on natural hair products. These include sites like Beautylish, which offers discounts on hair care products, and CurlMart, which offers discounts on a variety of natural hair products.

It is important to do some research ahead of time to find the best deals. Compare prices at different stores and websites, and look for coupons and discounts that you can use. By doing this research, you can save a significant amount of money on natural hair products.

Those were my top tips for keeping your wallet and hair happy. Let me know if you have tried any of these methods! I’d also love to hear about any cost-saving tips you may have. Until next time, stay curly and frugal!
