Are You Tipsy off of Drunk Elephant yet?

Drunk elephant: T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial, Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser, and Protein Polypeptide Cream

For the month of April, I got a birthday gift from Sephora and I chose to try Drunk Elephant's No. 9 Jelly Cleanser and Protini Polypeptide Cream. I had only tried two other products from this line before giving these two a chance. I had tried the T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial and the C-Firma Vitamin C Day Serum.

My Skin Profile:

Oily

My Skin Condition(s):

Acne and Hyperpigmentation

So after trying all these products for a month (some I've tried for a lot longer), I wanted to give you a little review on them.

No. 9 Jelly Cleanser

This cleanser has no smell and is very gentle. At first, I thought this might be too gentle for me. However after using it multiple times I've discovered that my skin loves it. It's become one of my favorite cleansers this season. I was so shocked at how moisturized my skin still felt after using it. This product does claim to remove makeup, and while it does to a degree I definitely do not recommend using only this to remove makeup. I've had this discussion on my IG stories, and on this blog before: DOUBLE CLEANSING BABES.

In combination with my Clinique cleansing bomb, I can take the day off and still have snatched pores for bedtime. For my skin type, this cleanser would work best for me during fall or winter. And anytime spring forgot to be spring if we're being frank. I love this cleanser, but this doesn't work during the day to keep my oil at bay when it's hot and humid out. I'm giving it an extra star only for the price and how far the product will go if you're not heavy-handed. Do you have sensitive skin? This cleanser was made for you!

T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial

When I initially used this product the tingling was over putting. Every time I use this a pimple appears and I wasn't sure if that was from my skin just purging the bad away or if the product was making me break out. Seeing as I haven't gotten any pimple in places I normally wouldn't I'm putting this product in the good isle.

I originally used this because of a recommendation by an employee at Sephora. His name is Gregory, and you can follow his blog here. Honestly, he's the whole reason I even tried Drunk Elephant in the first place. This was the first product I've tried from this line.In terms of price I'm knocking my rating down two stars, but adding one star back for the quality ingredients. Of course, you can find a chemical exfoliant that has quality ingredients but doesn't break the bank. But if you are looking to try it, I recommend getting a sample.

Vitamin C Day Serum

If I had to choose two words to describe this serum sticky and absorbent would come to mind. I only tried a sample of this for a couple weeks because I wanted to see how it would perform before contemplating on buying the product in its entirety. As I've stated Drunk Elephant is expensive, and yes I know we shouldn't put a price on skincare but we aren't trying to break wallets out here sis. We are trying to keep a balanced bag while having snatched pores you feel me?

The performance of this product was mild in my opinion. I'm 100% sure there are Vitamin c serums that work better and are more affordable. I liked how absorbent this product is though, and in combination with other products from this line, your skin will feel likes endless mimosas for brunch. The price of this product definitely knocked this down a peg or two.

Protini Polypeptide Cream

This is the prize of this entire post. Out of everything I've gotten for my birthday this was one of the most mysterious gifts because it had never crossed my mind to try since it's a cream. Creams are normally too heavy for my skin and so I naturally stick to gel moisturizers. This, however, is the G.O.A.T. This cream is my favorite product out of everything I've tried from this line and honestly, I'd spend the $68 every freaking time just to have this heaven melted into my skin every night. SIS!

This is a platinum record no features but in combination with the Jelly Cleanser? Ooh, your skin is gonna be dancing with somebody like Whitney Houston. Have you out here singing impossible in the streets! If you've seen Cinderella with Queen Whitney and Brandy then you know what I'm talking about. The price is pretty high for a moisturizer, but it has magic in it so it's worth it. I don't make the rules.

Have you ever tried any of the Drunk Elephant products? Would you? Do you have any recommendations for dupes?
